Gentri Concert just after Thanksgiving 2023

Image
After Thanksgiving we went to Salt Lake from Miranda's to catch the Gentri concert.  I think everyone but myself preferred it to the Jenny Oaks Baker concert from the year before.  However they do have a unique sound and sing some very nice Christmas songs to get you in the Christmas mood.  I particularly like "I Saw Three Ships come Sailing In"

Christmas 2023

It was just Sheri and I and Miranda and Tony home for Christmas.  Christmas in Kingman always has to include the radar hill tree.  It being church day it made for a peaceful Christmas. Lights on Shadow Mountain Drive Christmas was on a Sunday

Christmas 2024

Christmas was very strange this year.  Everyone was someplace else and I was home alone.  Miranda and Tony had Christmas in Nebraska with Charity; Sheri had Christmas in Indiana with Jeremy.  I only have a couple pictures people sent me.

Christmas 2022

I didn't take a lot of pictures Christmas morning but here are a few.  Sheri and Miranda mostly bought their own presents.  For my part I scored like eight shirts, one slacks ad three ties.  We also have lots of candy and other fine things.  I made it to Crackle Barrel and got orange sticks for Sheri.  Shri and I got up early Christmas Day to fill the stockings.

Jenny Oaks Baker Concert in Mesa

Image
The purpose of our recent trip to Mesa was to see the Christmas concert presented by Jenny Oaks Bakes and Family Four and Alex Sharpe.  I was very excited to hear Alex Sharpe live.  I was in tears when she stepped on stage to sing during the first song.  There were a couple times however I couldn't understand the lyrics, especially in "Breath of Heaven."  Sheri says the instruments may have been too loud.  However over all it was an excellent program.  The other song that touched my emotions was "Away in a Manger."  It has long been my favorite.  I love Alex Sharpe's voice.  I felt the narration detracted overall rather than added to the presentation.  The dancers were lovely.  Sheri preferred the cloggers while I liked the ballet dancers.  They were beautiful.

Christmas Bazaar and Parade Kingman 2022

Image
The Bazaar was in the Beale Celebrations, the first time I have been in the building which was the old J.C. Penney.  I bought two psychedelic paintings to go in the garage with the psychedelic painting I have out there already.  I also got a turquoise rock--too expensive for a pebble, and alpaca socks and slippers.   On fourth street, outside the Beale Celebrations were the food trucks.  Many seemed too expensive, but I found the crepe truck which was very economical and very good.  I had a crepe with ham and cheese and then a sweet crepe with raspberry jam.  They were both delicious.   From 5-6 the parade was walk through and then at 6 the parade was going to start.  I did the walk through, from fifth street to first and back. Train for the kids to ride on close to the actual train station. cheer leaders I really liked the manger scenes more cheer leaders band, I assume Kingman High School This is the one I voted for best as the cement ...
