Peter Noone Herman Hermits Concert and the Bluegate

Image
I loved all the old Herman's Hermits songs.  I use to listen to them more than the Beatles when I was young.  I didn't realize their lead singer was so young at the time.  He was only 15 when Herman's Hermits started performing. which means he has been singing for over 60 years.  I enjoy many of the old songs: "Kind of Hush," "End of the World," "Mrs Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter," "Wonderful World," "I'm into Something Good" and "Henry the VIII."  Henrey the 8th is especially fun with audience participation.  He also sang a couple songs that were covers, "Ring of Fire" and "Love Potion number 9."  It was a fun evening.  I didn't take pictures during the show regrettably.

Neil Diamond Impersonator in Laughlin Neil Diamond-The Tribute

Image
My first trip into Laughlin; actually turning in rather than staying on the highway driving through, was for the Neil Diamond - The Tribute by Rob Garrett.  It was at Don's Celebrity Theater in Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino.  This is the first hotel you come to in Laughlin.  The concert was entertaining.  I have listened to Neil Diamond for many years and saw him in concert at Utah State when I was going to school.  Garrett was able to play the audience, and tell stories.  There were several sing along songs--especially "Sweet Caroline" that were fun.  My favorite Neil Diamond is still "Song Sung Blue."  Even though this wasn't a sing-along song I stood and sang.  Three songs from Jazz Singer: " America", "Hello Again" and 'Love on the Rocks."  Not as good as the original; but I enjoyed myself all the same.  This concert was in August but I understand the singer returns regularly.
