Temple Bar

Image
On out Spring Break Sheri and I camped at Boulder Beach and drove to some of the local sites.  This included Temple Bar.  Temple Bar was named by Daniel Bonelli, a Mormon immigrant from Scandinavia.  He thought it looked like the Salt Lake Temple.  We were there in the off season so most everything was closed.  However there was still plenty to see.  There was a nice boat launch and dock.

After Christmas to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam

Day after Christmas is the wrong day to visit Hoover Dam.  It was s crowded and no place to park.  We drove through and took pictures from the car and then headed to Lake Mead for the night.  Tony and I went back to walk the bridge the next day.  The wind was incredible.  At one point it was hard to push forward, but we made it to the center to take a picture of the dam. Second highest bridge in America 900 feet owl on a rock in our campsite
