Omaha Restaurant Review: Cracker Barrel

Image
On thing cool about Cracker Barrel is that the let you stay overnight.  We did this in Kansas City when we went to the temple.  We ate dinner in the evening, and then spent the night and went back for breakfast.  Cracker Barrel makes a very good breakfast.  There are a couple close to me where we live in Bellevue.  The closest is actually in Council Bluffs, and then there is on the I80 but farther west.  They seem to be throughout the country close to freeway exits.  As for dinner they make a very good fried chicken.  The also have country fried steak, pot roast and meat loaf.  This is not our most favorite restaurant, but it is up there. One thing cool about Cracker Barrel is the country store in each location.  The have orange and raspberry sticks, and many other selections of candy.  They have what would be called old fashioned candy which is good for me.  I am old fashioned.

Dollar Tree in Bellevue.

I frequent the dollar store, which is now the Dollar twenty five and up store.  There are at least three in Bellevue.  I mostly go there for cookies and candy.  They have movie theater candies, nerd gummy clusters, as well as some very good cookies for $1.25.  The cookies at a regular store are $3 or more.  I want to commend the Bellevue store, across from Walmart, as they had all the good flavors of cookies which you can hardly find anymore.  Fudge stripes which are known as Grandpa cookie, as well as the peanut butter cookies, the mint cookies and the graham cracker covered with chocolate.  I like other favors as well, the lemon creams and the coconut bars and the ones that say yes or no on them.  You can havre a good time but now you have to be wary because they also have higher priced items. They have cheap toys, paper products (a good place for poster paper) and seasonal products.   Grandpa cookies
