Kingman Parks: Mohave Neighborhood Park

Image
This park is south of Highway 66 and south of one set of railroad tracks.  It is almost across form the Ramblin Rose Motel.  It is off of Topeka Ave on Mohave Ave.  This is a small park and currently the slide is blocked off.  The swings are open.  It also has a hoop for basketball and several picnic tables and grills.  I called parks and rec and they said they didn't think the closure was permanent but for repairs then it would reopen. the area currently blocked off

White Cliffs, Metcalf Park: Day Before Thanksgiving

With grand babies arriving before Thanksgiving we visited downtown Kingman.   This included the White Cliffs trail which afforded rock climbing for the older kids.  Then Metcalf Park where they have a new climbing wall, and then Locomotive Park for some play. Welcome to Kingman: Canyon Shadows Neighborhood Park and Hike

Image
Canyon Shadows is a park on the west side of Kingman.  It is off of Crestwood, just north of Gordon.  The park is long and narrow and follows a wash.  In fact after the park, on the west side across the street, the wash continues up the hill and makes a nice hike.  In meanders between the back yards of the houses, as does the park itself.   This park has many amenities: horse shoe pits, picnic areas, playground and sidewalks for walking from one end of the park to the other.  Going beyond the park, hiking up the wash is a bit rough with rocks, but it does present with some nice views.

Welcome to Kingman: Dig It Kingman Community Gardens

Next to   Cecil Davis Park   is the Dig It Community Gardens .  Many people were there working hard as it is spring.  The garden has many nice decorations.   The garden is kept secure with a lock.  There is also a neighborhood library, leave a book, take a book.
