Water Feature at Cecil Davis Park

Image
We ventured to the water park several times this summer.  We got the best pictures this last visit.  When I go I am hesitant to fully immerse myself but like to get close and feel the cooling of the water drops.  However s you can tell from kids and grandkids they are having a good time.  There is usually a time spent at the nearby park as well.

Dinky Creek National Forest Campground

Dinky Creek is a fascinating area with the creek creating waterslides as it flows over rocks.  However, due to the drought the creek was low; but still there were swimming holes and places to wade in the water.  There were also people fishing.  We could sit and watch the fish under the water as the anglers, for the most part without success, tried to snag them.  Plenty of Ponderosa Pine, and interesting rocks.  Tony and I also enjoyed visiting the Dinky Creek Bridge which is historical and not currently used.  It was made in 1938.  I ventured into the water with Tony, but Tony was much move adventurous.   We all enjoyed the store.  Tony came home with a sling shot and we all enjoyed ice cream sandwiches.
