Harris State Beach, Oregon

Image
Harris State Beach was the first night of our vacation after leaving Caleb's.  It is a very lovely beach.  However it was too cold to venture into the water.  It was dusk when we headed to the beach, and dark when we came back.   The big rock island in the ocean has always fascinated me.

Fall Break Vacation: Manteca, Harris Beach State Park and Olympic National Park and Penninsula

Image
For Tony's Fall break (he gets two weeks off following his first trimester) we went north for our first visit to Olympic National Park.  We were also determined to visit the Makah Reservation at the very northwest corner of the United States. We were lucky as our plans coincided with Anna, our niece, reporting her mission in Tracy.  We listened via ZOOM when she reported in North Logan.  I have no pictures of the meeting but she and her folks came to dinner after at Caleb and Annie's where we were staying.  At the meeting we saw our old neighbor, Kade Peterson who is now the stake president, as well as his counsellors and President Brown from the old stake presidency.  We also saw Brother Hammond from our ward in San Jose.  The Saturday before we took Caleb and Annie and kids to Red Robin.  We were leaning to the Mexican place near by, by Todd was so excited when he saw Red Robin we went there.  The only picture I got was of Caleb's youngest ....

Camping at Carlsbad State Beach: San Diego; Spring Break 2022

Image
These are a few pictures of the ocean where we were camping for our San Diego break.  Tony and I walked down to the beach.  There is a cliff between the camping and the beach with only a few access points to the beach; stairs going down to the beach.   mural by the camp store
