Lincoln Monument on I-80 in Wyoming

Not far from Laramie is the Lincoln Monument.  This is a 12 foot high bust of President Lincoln which sits on a 30 foot tall base.  The statue was created by Robert Russin a professor of art at University of Wyoming.  It was dedicated in 1959 on the Lincoln highway.  It was moved to its current location in 1969 when the freeway was completed an is the highlight of the Summit Rest Area.  I traveled there this summer with Charity's family.
