SACS Strategic Air Command Museum

 After Christmas we spent some time in Omaha.  We visited the SACS Museum, which was were the air nuclear defense for the United States was coordinated.  The museum also documented space exploration and different rockets.  It is about a half hour outside of Omaha to the west.

 There is a new stop light on route 93 at Last Stop.  The light is now active.  There is a warning light before the actual light.  Is this an indication that the state has given up on the idea of an 11 corridor?  There is also a new Carls Jr. just a bit south with a new road coming off the highway.

Kingman Restaurant Review: Calicos

 I really like Calicos now that they have reopened.  To be honest I never ate there before the closed as we hadn't moved to Kingman.  I know they also had a temporary location but we never went their either.  I found the best thing at Calicos is the Friday clam chowder; delicious.  I also like the salad bar.  They always have something in the bar for dessert.  I enjoyed the salmon.  The ambience is pretty cool with desert vistas. I visited while I was home alone and ordered prime rib.  It fed me for our or five meals and was very good.  This is the salad.
