October General Conference 2022: Port Orchard, WA

October General Conference was spiritual, well presented and very historic.   It can still be accessed on-line.  We were introduced to a new Strength of Youth handbook.  Jesus Christ is the Strength of Youth.  For the first time ever a woman of African descent spoke in conference.  President Nelson announced 18 new temples.  This includes Buenos Aires City Center; where I served.  Another temple in Las Vegas (ten miles farther for me than the existing temple)  and a temple in Tacoma Washington.  That is a big deal as we were inPort Orchard for conference, with Natalia and her family and we were with their friends the Merrills.  

there was a big cheer for Tacoma, which made me miss the Mexico temples.   I was looking up Lone Mountain, Nevada hoping it might be closer.

    Conference was so awesome! I was excited to learn of a temple in Grand Rapids MI, which will be wonderful for the people in the area we used to live in there.

Kingman Hikes: White Cliffs Trail South Entrance

 The White Cliffs Trail systems has been extended considerably with the addition of two trailheads.  The South Trailhead is just north of the couurt building.  It is on fourth street but cannot ber accessed directly off of fourth.  You can go on fifth to the Palo Christi school and turn back behind the courthouse on Maple Street until getting to fourth and then go up the hill.  You can also access the trailhead from third street, turing east on Chestnut street and following up the hill.  This is a newer trailhead having been opened a little more than a year ago.  The trail is marked intermediate.  There are two directions to go, both of which meet again at the top.  The trail to the left first goes down, close to the "K".  This trail has many switchbacks going up the hill.  The other trail to the right goes around the hill on the other side.  It is fairly steep.  After getting to the top there are a myriad of trails to fol...

Family Reunion July 2024

 This year we met in Flaming Gorge with extended family.  Sheri and Diana set up the campground at Antelope flat.  Mark and Dianna brought their boat and we took turns making the meals.  It was fun. We also went to the John Jarvie Ranch in Browns Hole where Charlie works during the summer.  He entertained everyone which included a float down the Green River.  Connie and Kelly were there but they did not camp.  Annie stayed in a hotel as well as she had a baby.   Mill on Jarvie ranch Billy and Sheri family Charlie and Diane Sue and Weldon Mark and Dianna Movie in visitors center beach pictures flaming gorgoe old ferry Charity and Anthony
