Spring break 2022 We had a very good time at San Diego Zoo.  Sheri and I had been there once before about 38 years ago for our honeymoon.  Tony went with us this time.  We road a couple different buses, and the sky tram.  There were lots of neat animals, and slender snouted crocodiles, old tortoises, koalas, rhinos, hippopotamuses, and many other animals.  We had a great time and paced ourselves well.   Sheri on the bus

For spring break this year Sheri purchased the San Diego packages for all of us and we went and did the tourist thing of San Diego.  Of course the San Diego temple and the Mormon Battalion Visitor Center were not part of the package, but the USS Midway Museum, Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Bay cruise were part of the package.  Of course one of the reasons for visiting San Diego was to see Grandpa Scoresby.  He now lives with Cammie and Trent who we also saw.  I took advantage and visited the temple in San Diego.  This was my first time inside the temple.     USS Midway Sea World San Diego Zoo San Diego Bay Cruise Mormon Battalion Visitors Center Carlsbad Beach There were also a couple tourist views close to the pier where the Midway was docked.  There was a memorial of the end of WWII and also a tribute to Bob Hope entertaining the troops.   Morro Bay

 Spring Break 2022 Beluga Whales penguins dolphin show right whale flamingo seal show Our day at Sea World started with some ponds and touching fish and star fish.  We then went to the seal show which was pretty funny.  I then decided to go on a roller coaster ride, which seemed really smooth--but in actuality wasn't that smooth and afterwards I think it was a mistake.  They had lots of flamingoes.  We then went on the sky ride; and found a nice place for lunch overlooking a stage in the water.  I fed a sea gull and got Sheri mad at me.  We visited the penguins, then we went to the dolphin show which also included right whales.  Then we went to a place that had beluga whales and sea otters.  There was also the raft ride which was a great way to get a bit wet.  It made for a fun day.   seal show raft ride penguin walrus
