Valley of Fire State Park, Including Elephant Arch

 Our recent trip to Valley of Fire State Park.  We ate lunch below some cliffs, visited a stone house, went on a hike, Sheri Miranda and Tony mostly and I turned back and waited.  I did a hike up Petroglyph Canyon and also Atlatl Rock.  It was fun, and very red.  We saw mountain goats!!!!

 There is a new stop light on route 93 at Last Stop.  The light is now active.  There is a warning light before the actual light.  Is this an indication that the state has given up on the idea of an 11 corridor?  There is also a new Carls Jr. just a bit south with a new road coming off the highway.

Kingman Restaurant Review: Calicos

 I really like Calicos now that they have reopened.  To be honest I never ate there before the closed as we hadn't moved to Kingman.  I know they also had a temporary location but we never went their either.  I found the best thing at Calicos is the Friday clam chowder; delicious.  I also like the salad bar.  They always have something in the bar for dessert.  I enjoyed the salmon.  The ambience is pretty cool with desert vistas. I visited while I was home alone and ordered prime rib.  It fed me for our or five meals and was very good.  This is the salad.
