Highway 93 View Areas

Image
There are two view areas from where is afforded a view of the Colorado River/ Lake Mohave.  One is south bound, and just before mile marker 13.  I visited this view area and was very disappointed; not in the view, but in the excessive graffiti that made it impossible to read the informational placards.   The north bound view area is better kept.  it is up a little hill from Highway 93.  From both view areas you can see the snowy peak behind Las Vegas.  This is Charleston Peak where there is a ski resort at Lee's Canyon.

Arches National Park: Easter Weekend

Image
There is too much to see at Arches National Park.  There are strange buttes and cliffs and rocks, including balancing rocks; and then there are the arches.  Just too much to take but a fraction in a day trip.  For Easter weekend we did not do the traditional; but traveled to Moab where we met Miranda who was watching Mark's boys for the weekend.  On Easter Saturday we were in the National Park. three gossips Tower of Babel balanced rock Windows Area Turret south window Turret Arch North Window double arch Windows area Garden of Eden I think the rock in front looks like Adam and Eve being ejected from the garden Delicat Arch viewpont and trails
